SUBMISSIONS DEADLINE: MAY 30, 2008

Subaru and the Logo Channel have teamed up to produce a series
of short portrait documentaries called “Real Momentum Profiles”,
featuring real Subaru owners. We are looking for gay men and
women who own Subarus and who lead interesting, inspirational
and involved lives. In the documentary, we will explore how your
work, hobbies or passions benefit yourself and those around you.
This could be about any part of your life — your family, job, travel
or other unique experiences or passions — as long as you have
something interesting/inspiring to share.

THE ONLY CRITERIA ARE THAT YOU ARE A GAY MAN OR
WOMAN AND A SUBARU-OWNER (NO EXCEPTIONS) with
positive things to say about your Subaru and how it enables your
life. You can be of any age, race, color or creed. You can submit
yourself as a single person or as part of a couple or a family.

If this applies to you, please submit via e-mail a photograph of
yourself along with the answers to the short questionnaire attached
to subarulogocasting(at)gmail.com. Feel free to forward this on to
anyone you know who may be interested.

So, Langhorne Slim is shooting a video for “Rebel Side of Heaven” this Monday, March 31st at The Box (189 Chrystie, between Rivington & Stanton.)
Simple concept - live video in a beautiful, ornate venue which is being shot by Crackerfarm + Paul Manza. From 2:30 PM until 6:00 PM they want to bring in a little audience for that live show kinda vibe.

We’re looking to get about 50+ people down to the venue at about 2:30 PM until appx 6:00 PM. …

Looking for a cool indie rock band to be in a New York Lottery
commercial. Bands can be male or female or both but members must be
in their 20’s. Must have lots of style, charisma, attitude, and
energy. Think Franz Ferdinand, The Arcade Fire, Grizzly Bear, Band
of Horses, Bloc Party, Cold War Kids, Mars Volta, Yeah Yeah Yeahs,
etc.. This is a SAG commercial and will shoot around March 25th so
please only submit if you are around during this time. We are also
looking for a lead singer for the spanish version so let us know if

I’m casting a very interesting, artistic photography project for Ted Sabarese, Winner of the 2007 International Photography Award for Best Fine Art Photographer. Attached are some images from his last portrait series in which we paired people with different species of fish that they resembled. See: http://www.tedsabarese.com/ for more on Ted’s photography.

For his next project “The Emperor’s New Clothes” the concept is very Elizabethan.

Casting Specs:
We are looking for a total of 6 “REAL” men & women
between the ages of 25 – 60yrs old
Caucasian only, very fair, any color hair
that would be comfortable & exude confidence while being photographed NAKED from the waist up. These individuals will range in size, shape & age & will be adorned in utterly beautiful & regal crowns, scepters and props fit for a King or Queen. Ted will shoot their portraits standing there in all their glory (naked from the waist up, with the exception of such props). All talent must bring something unique to the table – perhaps a beautiful strong profile, a head of gorgeous Curls, striking eyes, a well-lived body, etc. (Please NO Tatoos) We are looking to photograph individuals that are truly that – beautiful in their own right. Think of Dove’s campaign for “real women” as the types of bodies we are looking for.

See attached picture as a style reference for this shoot for mood & casting purposes – interesting subject with beautiful milky skin, amazing Fire RED hair which makes him unique. **But note: subject would not be that covered up – perhaps wearing a crown instead of the coat.

There is a possibility that this art project would be pitched to magazines in the future, but its main purpose is to satisfy Ted’s Artistic inspiration. All talent involved will need to be available to shoot in NYC sometime within the next month. There is NO PAY for this. The portrait will take only a few hours and you will receive a copy of the photo once they have been finalized.

So as some of you may or may not know, I am currently working on the new Michael Cera movie called “Nick and Nora’s Infinite Playlist.” The movie takes place in New York City and will take place in many real NYC locations and featuring real NYC indie rock bands. The film is being directed by Peter Sollett and it’s going to be a lot of fun to shoot.
There are a few performances in the movie and two of the bands that I am allowed to talk about, at the moment is BISHOP ALLEN and PROJECT JENNY / PROJECT JAN. We are looking from some great types. (see below.)

Anyway, we are doing an OPEN CALL for people to be extras in this movie THIS SATURDAY. BELOW IS THE OPEN CALL NOTICE:

Playlist, LLC is holding an open call for SAG & NON SAG background performers for “Nick and Norah’s Infinite Playlist” a feature film starring Michael Cera “Arrested Development, Superbad” and Kat Dennings “40 Year Old Virgin” also featuring many musicians and rock bands. This film is very detailed and there are many restaurant, concert, street scenes, etc. taking place in every part of Manhattan. We are seeking very specific types and are recommending that performers arrive at the open call in wardrobe with your hair & makeup reflecting the particular type you are submitting for (no wardrobe allowances will be paid for open calls). The following are the types we are seeking: young men and women (to play 18 – 30) to play punk rockers, rock n’ rollers, goth types, hipsters, indie rockers and any alternative music fan. (Mohawks, piercings, liberty spikes, tattoos are all plus!) The film will be shooting late October through early- December. The open call will be held on Saturday, October 20th, 2007. The Church of St. Paul & St. Andrew, 263 West 86th St. (between B’way and West End), NY NY 10024. SAG to be seen 10am-12:30pm; Non-SAG 1pm-4pm.
