London: Breakfast at Mary’s Caf in Borough Market (you must have the Bubble & Squeak). Wander round the market drooling. Head down towards the river. Walk along the embankment walkway. See the Golden Hind. See Shakespeare’s Globe.
Stop at the Tate Modern. Don’t be tempted to go in the door presenting itself to you, walk round the side and enter through the turbine hall. Be impressed. Go wander round one of the free galleries. I recommend the 5th floor.
Back onto the walkway and toddle along to the South Bank Centre. Check out the second hand books. Head along past the Eye (don’t bother) towards Waterloo. Check out the Banksy curated official graffiti tunnel (it’s at the back of County Hall). http://www.flickr.com/photos/joste/2673802191/
Back along towards the South Bank Centre up and over the Hungerford Bridge. Lunch at Gaby’s deli on Charing X Road and stuff yourself with falafels/salt beef/some of the best salads in the world and Israeli beer.
Into Soho, onto Berwick St and rummage through the plethora of record shops there. The Ship on Wardour St for a few ales.
