Buckley’s is without question the superior rendition, but John Cale and Rufus Wainwright also do very nice versions.

With this song it’s whatever Hallelujah you like most. There’s a version for everyone. Leonard Cohen’s created one of the greatest of all modern songs.

Of these, I like Buckley’s. but you know, the thing about a really good song is that it can be done and redone and redone again and never stops being a good song.

david bazan gives me chills no matter what he’s singing but the extra verses make it for me the best
