June 2008

the Pool Party yesterday. Can you see me?

I can’t.

HERE.

for those of you who don’t live in NYC check these picts out!

So what an action packed day yesterday was…

Woke up and got some damn good coffee at the secret coffee place. sshhhh. Then met up with my friend Huff and went to the record fair in Greenpoint, BK. Bought an old Shellac 7 inch and a new The Sword 7 inch.

Then went and sat in the rain at the Maccarren Pool Party, waiting for the Hold Steady to come on. Saw the Loved Ones, weren’t bad, sounded a bit like Hot Water live.

MP3: LOVED ONES MYSPACE HERE.

then we saw the Hold Steady . Not bad, the crowd was pretty into, I however, was not.

MP3: THE HOLD STEADY MYSPACE HERE.

We left there with a posse and went to Barcade. I kicked ass at Arkanoid, as usual and then ate some pizza. SO so hot. A friend had a pot brownie and looked pretty good for what I would look like if I had eaten one.

Then I left, met my two friends to see Daughters and the Russian Circles at Williamsburg Music Hall (or whatever that place is called.) Fuck man, GO AND SEE THE RUSSIAN CIRCLES! they are the last two great shows I have seen. Swear. So good.

MP3: DAUGHTERS MYSPACE HERE. (I did not like this band so much. Sounded like Born Against in a bad way.)

MP3: Russian Circles - Death Rides a Horse .
