So this past weekend I had the chance to check out the National @ BAM both Friday & Saturday night. (Thanks to scalpers I got Sat. tickets cheap on the streets) Anyways, here’s my take.

Friday’s show was more low key and stuffy. It’s really odd to see a “rock” show where we are suppose to sit in out seats. At the Saturday show, the band told everyone it was okay to stand, so that was better. Saturday the band also seemed a bit more relaxed and comfortable with the venue, the Sat. version of Mr. November was probably one of the best versions I have ever heard, Matt and the band gave it their all. Saturday 2/23 was better…..

Here are the set list for each night, and if you go to Nyctaper.com you can download his recording of Friday’s show!

It is time for the First annual “Friends in Blogs” Oscar Pick’um. The rules are simple, we have to submit one set of picks per blog and whoever picks the most right is the winner. The winner declares movie supremacy for the next year, and the losing blog has to review 1 movie (as picked by the winner) for the next 3 weeks on their blog. This is a great opportunity to make someone watch “Chairman of the Board” or “Freddy Got Fingered”
