GUILTY PLEASURE: the Deftones

I can already think about a few people who will give me a ton of shit for this guilty pleasure (I am looking at you huffman!)
With that being said, I always thought this band was wrongly placed in the Nu Metal category and always thought there was a depth to them that was often overlooked.
I got to see them before the first LP came out opening up for some awful band at Berkeley Square (RIP) a ton of years ago and couldn’t help but thinking how great they were then. Passionate and heavy (and huge radiohead fans), I always dug em. Either way.. A sort of guilty pleasure below..

speaking of random record labels. what ever happened to:
File 13, Hopeless, Initial, Mud, Alias and a whole handful of others?
well i could probably answer the first, File 13 put out that Antarctica record and that was probably it.

I did not hear that. crazy stuff. i just did a quick search. hopeless is still around….i was not aware of that. I guess they meant nothing to me after 88 fingers louie broke up.
I would assume that Crank is done.

hopeless and fearless are making boat loads of cash right now…still around and releasing tons of records.
