Paul Dano vs. Issac in Children of the Corn
Posted by james under TV FILM , the daily enlightenment with jamesFirst off, I am so sick of everyone thinking that There Will Be Blood is the best film in the past ten years, sure, its an okay film, but its not the best. First of all, Daniel Day Lewis does an amazing Sean Connery impersonation for 2 and half hours and it gets old. But what really bugs me is I have already seen Paul Dano’s character in another film…… Children Of The Corn….Lets look at the tape:

and a clip from There Will Be Boredom:

Kristian,
Brilliant comparison. I couldn’t agree with you more. As much as I like Paul Dano, to me, his performance was overrated. Keep em comin Mr. Man.

Although I liked TWBB, I did think it was over hyped and that No Country for Old Men takes the cake.

Daniel Day Lewis gave the performance of a lifetime with this movie. I gave it my second viewing over the weekend and liked it even more. In the NCFOM vs. TWBB debate, I think they are both great films and will be happy if either one wins best picture.

Just to let you know that Paul Dano and Daniel Day Lewis are in fact one of teh greatest actors of our time and how dare you say that Paul Dano’s character even compares to that kid in Children of the Corn those characters are completly unidentical and Paul Dano created himself and from Dano’s background you can tell There Will be Blood was out of Dano’s element but you couldnt telll by his performance! You guys are on crack if you say Dano’s performance was no good! Peace!

I thought exactly the same thing myself (about the similarity between eli and isaac’s characters), and so I googled to see if anyone else did.. lo and behold! That said, I did think Paul Dano was very good.. I don’t understand how anyone could fault him for that role. And what a face!
