I'm pretty young. I'm a kid still, I guess, but one thing will never escape me as I grow older. The love for this man's lungs. I was raised with Danzig on the speakers all around me. Him, Johnny Cash, Elvis, Metallica (Kill 'em all era), and ever since I was born it's shaped my life. I like to think I'm better for it, but who knows. All I know, is that life wouldn't be the same without Mr. Glenn. I like to imagine that it's made me a more interesting person, a more "different" breed of youngster. I guess all that matters is I was able to see him live, in concert, at least once. I may have been three years old at the time, but I got to see him. Ever since, I've had him playing through my speakers.

The first two Danzig LP's(I am getting old) were master pieces. I hated the first one also, it went against everything I loved...I thought what a sell-out this douch-bag is?? I matured into a love for his Elvis like croon and metal-pop new sound. The second album seems to be a much purer sound for the man. I know he has as much love for the strip club as he does his music. He still remains a fantastic showman.

Saw Danzig's 1st show as "Danzig" @ City Gardens in Trenton & many, many more times there after. Punk , blues & Elvis. Who'd think it could work? Hooked instantly. The first 2 records are classics, but after that, he became to "big" for himself & just produced crap. The whole devil wore out quickly ,as the rest of the band found out. Misfists/Samhain/Danzig still in my rotation today.

This takes me back. My introduction to Danzig was the Misfits - Walk Among Us (which i hated at first. It went against my Suicidal Tendencies, Bad Brains, COC etc that i was listening to at the time. But when i heard Danzing - especially Long Way Back from Hell, Tired of Being Alive and Blood & tears I was hooked. Maybe it was also because I fell in love with a girl called Vampirella from NY who was also a big fan. Whatever the reason, Danzig still holds a nostalgic place in dark heart!!!
