b. Fugazi at the Trocadero (in on the kill taker tour)
c. At the Drive in, in store at Sound and Fury in nyc.
d. Iron Maiden and Anthrax at Continental.
Lauryn Hill (w/Outkast opening)in Charlotte NC for the Miseducation tour. This was before Hey Ya. This was before Lauryn lost her mind. Yeah. that’s the top for me.

4. clutch at Slims in SF
5. Eric Bibb at Biscuits and Blues in SF
In no order at all:

2 Ignition, Laughing Hyenas, Knifedance @ The Sonic Temple
3 Touch and Go 25th Anniversary, Hideout Chicago
4 Pixies @ Fox Theater, Atlanta
5 Fugazi/Jawbox @ The Upstage, Pgh.
Holy shit! I was at both the Ignition/Hyenas and Fugazi/Jawbox shows in Pgh! Small fucking world!
On the Pgh tip, I’d say Nation of Ulysses at the Turmoil Room would probably be one of the best. Either that or Harvey Milk’s “final” show back in ’98. Or the King Brothers at the EARL in ’99. Or perhaps Teengenerate or the Oblivians on a good night? Halo of Flies? Too many to mention.
It is a small world. That time in music in music was awesome and Pittsburgh was a great place to be into it. The Foundry, The Sonic Temple, The Upstage all rocked. How bout The Ex and CopShootCop at the Pitt Student Union or Jane’s Addiction opening for the Ramones? Or Jesus Lizard or Bullet Lavolta coming through town about every week and a half?
