Last night at the Mando Diao show felt like a true media event. I went to the show expecting to be one of the few people fortunate enough to be able to photograph the show at Bowery Ballroom.

Let’s say this… I might have been one of 30 people taking photographs, including the Swedish couple in front of me taking sychronized cell phone shots. (And one and two and SHOOT!)…

The show was a lot of fun and the opener Pop Levi was pretty kick ass, considering some questionable fashion choices (see below.) The last song they did was about 10 minutes and was really rhythmic and fun.

The crowd seemed to be predominently Scandinavian and was really INTO Mando Diao. There was even a girl in the front row holding up a sign, that I could only guess read “Sweet Child O’ Mine, PLEASE!”

They put on a great show and have really great energy live. Check out pictures from the show BELOW:
