You may have heard ‘The Fatalist’ by Robbers On High Street last fall when the single was debuted on itunes and made the blog rounds. Last night I ended up drunk with a couple guys from the band and they told me the album is done and will be out soon, to which I said “oohh maanhn.. dat’s rilly rilly grrate. I’ma so’appy fer yaaz”.
Anyway, I’ve sobered up enough to report that the band will be treking out to Austin, TX for the famed and fabled SXSW festival. Then will hit a couple more cities on their way back to the big apple.

Hmm, just woke up the day after the Idolator party. A few things I have learned …
A. People are way more excited about my job in TV then about this music site.
B. Smoking is bad.
C. I really like the people over at Fleshbot. and Precog and Gawker, particularly.
D. It is pronounced I - Doll - a - der. Did everyone else know this but me???
E. If someone offers you a little orange pill, take it. Why? Well why not?
It was nice meeting you all, next time Ill be more sober. Maybe.

Fans of The State, Stella, Wet Hot American Summer, et al, rejoice for David Wain, Michael Showalter and Michael Ian Black are back with a bevy of big name co-stars for their new film ‘The Ten’! The Wain directed comedy is composed of 10 short films each based on one of the Ten Commandments. You know, like from the bible. Polish director Kristof Kieslowski did the same thing in the late 80’s but for some reason we have a feeling this one will be a little funnier.

I admit, I have a huge crush on Leslie Feist (Feist, Broken Social Scene). So this post is for nothing else than to post a picture of her and let you know there’s a new song on her Myspace.

I love the Shots Ring Out blog, nowhere else has the extensive music video library that they do. They just posted about the new video for The Rapture directed by Ben Dickinson & John Watts.

The Shout Out Out Out Out’s (that is really exhausting to type) are going on tour and remixing. Here’s the word straight from the horse’s mouth:
SHOUT OUT OUT OUT OUT UNVEIL BANG GANG REMIX, TOUR NORTH AMERICA, KILL AUSTIN (Monday, February 26th, 2007) Shout Out Out Out Out are the most fun you’ll ever have. Your favorite DJ’s favorite band. A sweaty, sexy mess of synth and snow. A fleet of dance-partying robots. For the uninitiated: Shout Out Out Out Out = two drummers + four bass players + two samplers + five synthesizers + two vocoders. That’s like 15 things. FIFTEEN! This is in-your-face, ambidextrous dance music.
And here’s the latest NEWS: Shout Out has remixed the Icelandic pop weirdness of Bang Gang. Here is Nik7’s take on the anxious guitar number “Find What You Get,” from the impending Bardi “Bang Gang” Johannsson album, Something Wrong. The result is fucking fantastic — tittering hats, buzzing bass, and sequined gown disco strings. Enjoy:
