November 2006

While walking around yesterday my friend Chris told me about this and I didn’t believe him… It’s insane.

Hello All, good weekend?? I spent some time with Chris Milk, hung out backstage (for about 5 mins) with Modest Mouse, drank too much, had great food, saw David Cross, had a beautiful Friday Morning and saw 1/2 of the Station Myth and walked right by Natalie Portman. ANYWAY…. to the music..

FROM THE ONE STEP BEYOND 7INCH: (I know this readily available but it’s a great song)

Madness - One Step Beyond

FROM THE CHUNKLET LIMITED 7INCH:

Jason Molina - No Moon on the Water

FROM THE MICHAEL JOHN SPLIT 7INCH:

Doug Martsch - 5 on 3

FROM THE BALLOON MAKER 7INCH:

Midlake - Mornings will be Kind

Stayed tuned I have a pretty special N Vinyl selection coming up tomorrow or Wednesday. Comments?

Oops it’s Monday and I didn’t post my Sunday B-side.  Sorry.  So without further ado…

Here’s a 7inch I bought while in Montreal.  I am not really sure that this is the real band’s name, there was almost no information on the record.  However, the song is a really nice instrumental song…

Crictkets Clubs - Cian

I don’t remember where it was that I saw Chamberlain but I remembered they wore shiny shirts and rocked pretty well.

Anyway Sleepyhead sent me an cool email about my site and about he had just did a posting about Chamberlain, check out his site and the posting here.

Thanks Brian.

Cornershots has an AMAZING PHOTO of Chicago HERE.

I want to post a new song soooo badly.  Comment here if I should do it!

Don’t know how new this is, but this is one of the songs from Girl Talk’s latest 7inch:

Girl Talk - Pure Magic

One more Vinyl Installment before this weekend…

FROM THE LADY SOVEREIGN VS ORDINARY BOYS 7INCH:

Lady Sovereign & Ordinary Boys - 9 to 5

FROM THE IMBEDDED IN ICE 7INCH:

lowercase - We Don’t need the Wolf

FROM THE DAFT PUNK IS PLAYING AT MY HOUSE 7INCH:

LCD Soundsystem - Jump in the Fire

That’s all for now. Check out Sunday’s Bside and other posts throughout the weekend.

Now I’m not saying go look, because some of you want to keep your
jobs, but Scott over at Stereogum posted a picture of Lily Allen
flashing one of her mammaries in what appears to be a drunken, smokey
night in the woods. Check it:
