As some of you know, Heatmiser, was Elliott Smith’s band, when he wasn’t recording solo material. On my way home from having coffee with my friend Wes this morning, this song came on. I realized it is my favorite Heatmiser song that Elliott doesn’t sing on. Check it out…
Heatmiser - Why did I decide to stay?
“add me to the list you stopped with blanks
or how about a rundown of the top 100
where do i rank
did i even make the list
or did i make a big mistake”
Also check out this little bit that Kevin, Elliott’s biggest fan, wrote about the 3 year anniversary of Elliott’s death HERE. Also, if you have any suggestions for a name for his soon to be weekly bit on thepunkguy.com, leave him a comment.

Ok I know I have posted a few times about this band before in the past but check out the new song from Detektivbyran (I think it means Detective Bryan or Bureau) from Sweden. (I know, weird, me liking Swedish music.) Anyway, this song is like Beirut without the vocals. Let me know what you think cause I dig it.

Absolut Noise, a great Swedish music blog, has just posted up 3 Refused songs for you to take. Refused will always be one of my favorite HC / Punk bands. Their album, The Shape of Punk to Come, is one of the records I have absolutely obsessed over.

Ever feel like you are starting to unravel? That’s how I have been feeling as of lately.. When you’re in this mood, do you suggest something calm (alla singer / songwriter) or something to match the feeling (aka metal or something fast annoying)?? If anyone can help out, let me know.
