Ever feel like you are starting to unravel? That’s how I have been feeling as of lately.. When you’re in this mood, do you suggest something calm (alla singer / songwriter) or something to match the feeling (aka metal or something fast annoying)?? If anyone can help out, let me know.

Both of what you suggest are helpful for me depending on the mood, but what I find most helpful is something that reminds me of an instance or era in my life that I felt together and good about things. Not that I’m recommending waxing nostalgic sitting around with old records for days (though there is a time and a place for that), but I feel like my state of being will sometimes sort of attune itself to that prior feeling if I put something remindful (I know, made-up word) on as background while I’m doing things that are tried and true for feeling with it.

hey bro,
i have been feeling that way as well. anxiety, a weird feeling in your stomach. many of my friends have been going thru this as well. something just isnt quite right. a country going to shit. you can always go the classic i feel like hell elliott smith way, that shits always good. the headphones record and dave bazaans new album are also really good.

Surprise, surprise, I’m with the Wes-inator on this one. A little Mr. Smith always helps me clear my head. Give a listen to the song Stickman - it’s absolutely habit-forming.
I don’t, however, think it’s any surprise to you that I’ve felt that way for quite a while now too. And it sucks.
The important thing I’ve realized is not to block it out, but to face it. And try to fix the things you actually can fix. Little steps. I think little steps are all there really are anymore.

sometimes people need to unravel. once your core is exposed you can really see what is underneath.
