Posted by Krist under ABC's Of PUNK , MUSIC[11] Comments
Ok, so before I start this series, I know I am going to post songs that some people might not consider punk. Let’s say that punk is more of set of ideals than an actual aesthetic. Ok? So stop bitching already and listen up…
Adam and the Ants – Beat my Guest
B: Bouncing Souls – the Freaks, Nerds and Romantics
D: The Damned – Smash it Up (Part 2)
Dead Kennedys – Holiday in Cambodia
What do you think?? I know, no Bad Brains. Next time. Swear. I know they rule.

Hmm…not my favorite Crass song. I have always been partial to that song that goes “big maaaaan…big m a n.”
Not sure if they count as punk, but Agnostic Front was pretty influential on the hardcore end. At the Drive In? Eh…maybe not.
Speaking of thugs that aren’t very punk, there’s always Biohazard (their early stuff anyways.) And Burn is a good B band as well.
For C, where would the Clash fit in? Hmmm. On the metal end, there’s Converge and early Cave In.
D…hmmm D. Dead Milkmen? Deadguy? Negative Approach from Detroit?
Work is a little slow today.

might do a negative approach song. I can’t believe how many good punk bands start with B and D. it’s amazing.
ATDI is great thought it might be not be traditional punk. so many good ones.
Shit Dead Milkmen. Next time. Next time.
