Where does one start?

1 (LA from the sky)

Let’s start with this posting here from Fleshbot . click. READ it all before you read more of this.

As I arrive in LA after a pretty exhausting flight from LGA, I get picked up by the director Eon Mckai. Really great guy, we sat in traffic, talked about film theory, porn and film cameras.

When we arrived to the East LA location about 40 mins of driving, I wondered if this is where all the porn in LA is shot (it’s not at all.) There were some kids outside playing. I wondered if they knew what sort of debauchery was happening only moments away from their innocent playing.

The warehouse was probably used for building sets for films and tv. Pretty nice size place with a stripper’s pole.

When I arrived they offered me some food. Unfortunately there weren’t drugs, viagra and fluffers anywhere, suddenly ruining my image of what a porn set should look like. It looks actually just like a student film set with a lot more lube lying around.

I met the crew and our director Vena, who seemed like a friend I know from the LES here in NYC. She was super sweet and really kind. We talked our usual ‘NYC vs. LA conversation’ and told me what the movie was about and a bit of her BG.

I then met Gram from Fleshbot, another great guy who had said he had visited thepunkguy before. A fan? um, not really. But really funny guy nonetheless.

I then met the star, Ms. Dana D., she’s really sweet and I think she was checking me out to make sure I wasn’t some crazy pervert / stalker. I still don’t know if I passed that test. She then pointed out that she was a half of an inch taller than me and in her shoes about 4 inches taller than me. Thanks for crushing my confidence Dana. Nice going.

I met the other star of the film, Tyler, he also was very cool and talked about how if Dana wanted to make S’mores instead of getting ‘down’, he would. She denied very graciously.

3 (Tyler promotes his favorite lube)

There was a bit of an interview with Tyler and Dana and then Daniel and then Dana alone and then with me. We actually got along great and had fun in the interview and by had fun I mean, we joked and that’s it.

Then I walked out. Then they started a scene.

2 (The creative process begins)

Um, I imagine it must feel like watching one of those live sex shoes in Amsterdam. You don’t really want to get caught enjoying too much and you don’t want to make eye contact with the rest of the room. It was awkward, mildly arousing, interesting and confusing, wrapped into one fun burrito.

As for the spumoni date, thanks to some mechnical phone failures, poor planning on my part and too little of time, I had to take a rain check on it. Hopefully, Dana will come to NYC one day soon so I can finally find out what Spumoni is.

Let’s say this, I am super glad I did it and the Vivid Alt / Fleshbot people were really down to earth and really kind people. Not to mention, they produce interesting, arty porn. God Bless them.
