So yesterday was one of those days that I realized how lucky I am to be living in New York City. I started out my night having a few drinks down at the southstreet seaport listening to what we realized was the last few seconds of the DC snipers.
After a quick drink, we ran over to see Ted Leo perform free. I couldn’t get too close so I only have one picture of Ted playing. But he played some new songs, a stiff little fingers cover and my favorite song (I posted below.)

The weather in the beginning of the night was amazing.. Below is my one and only bad picture of Ted. Sorry

Then after that we went over to Mercury Lounge to see a very sold out show of Beirut. (I swear this will be my last posting about Beirut for sometime.) Below are some of the pictures from the show.

This is my 60’s psych picture below. Hope you like.

I thought they sounded way better than at McCarren Pool and I had a great time. Even though I was a little drunk and probably don’t remember the whole thing. I guess I will be way more sober for their Bowery Show.

Afterwards, I walked out, and it started downpouring.. With thoughts of Ted, Beirut, rain, Lamborghinis and sleep… I went home. Exhausted.. and drunk!

Here are two ted leo songs.
Ted Leo - Dancing in the Dark (Bruce Springsteen cover)
Ted Leo - Under the Hedge (my favorite)

Nice! Can’t wait to see Zach and the boys out here in LA. You kids out eastward seem to get the upper hand sometimes. Shucks.
