There is something about hockey on tv. I guess this is the equivalent as to us having a show about Paris Hilton on. Here is a bside by the Arcade Fire. You know, who they are, they are from Montreal and they are great..

The Arcade Fire – No Cars Go

Here are a few photos from beautiful Montreal. There are in alphabetical order, so please pay attention. Quiz to follow.

At Pitchfork, right here. Before it’s too late.

Well it looks like Evan Dando has asked some of the original Descendents to be on his new self titled record on Vagrant. Sounds like old Lemonheads, doesn’t it?

The Lemonheads – No Backbone

I am currently setting up a long post about Montreal with extensive pictures, maps and mission statements, however, until I grasp enough inspiration from my surroundings, here is a song I really like from a Swedish band, Tiger Lou.

Tiger Lou – The Loyal

Check out a live Ted Leo show in MA here.  Also check out below I have done a lot of posts recently.

Two of the bigger bands right now, release two new songs.

click here for an acoustic Yeah Yeah Yeahs song covering Sonic Youth.

click here for a demo for a new Bloc Party song.

I leave to explore Montreal now.  Viva la Canada!

Dexy’s Midnight Runners, famed composers of ‘Come on Eileen’, aren’t “one hit wonders” in my book.

Check out this great song.. For fans of the Specials, early ska and Madness.

Dexy’s Midnight Runners – Geno

So after going out super late night with some old good friends (and some new ones) I got ONE hour sleep before I had to get up and get on a 10 hour train ride to Montreal. In typical Kristian fashion, 2 hours into the ride, they came on the intercom telling us a train had derailed somewhere up north and everyone had to get off at Albany and take buses to Montreal. And as painful as this sounds, it somehow saved us 4 hours. Huh??

Anyway, I will be posting some pictures soon. Montreal seems very cool and very French. Au Revoir!

I just put up a new Beirut demo under the Beirut @ Mercury post.  shhh..
